Community Action House is a locally-funded, locally-founded nonprofit. Since 1969, we've been committed to serving where we're needed most, while working collaboratively to co-create solutions that help our neighbors pursue healthier, more stable lives.
Families in deep need struggle with a complex web of challenges, and complex problems that require holistic solutions. That's why we combine healthy food access, street outreach, resource navigation, and financial empowerment - all in the context of relationships - to nourish, equip and empower our neighbors.
None of what with do is possible without a community who believes in and powers our work. In 2024, over 2,800 volunteers served along side us, including 627 first time volunteers! Together, these individuals volunteered over 64,000 hours.
